Flip Factory teams head to national competition

The Texas Flip Factory gym in Humble recently had all four of its competition teams qualify for the U.S. Finals to be held in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on April 2.

During the competition in Galveston on March 5, each of the four teams placed first, with its youth team taking home the trophy for "High Point," which also earned the team a paid bid to the U.S. Finals.

"We have been on a roll this year," states owner Kris Williams. "We have many first-time cheerleaders and many returning cheerleaders, and this mix has made for a winning combination for us." Team members range in age from 3 to 16 years old.

"Our season still has two competitions along with the U.S. Finals competition, and then we begin gearing up for next season with our tryouts on April 29 and 30," stated Stacy Williams, co-owner.
